Delray Beach, FL – March 24, 2016 The Florida Women’s Business Center is partnered with Google in the National Put Our Cities on the Map Program.

In addition to partnering with cities, the Let's Put Our Cities on the Map program also works with local organizations, the Florida Women’s Business Center and the TED Center. The program brings attention to these organizations who provide a host of services to help small business owners.

More than 5 million businesses are currently on the map, we are hosting a “Google Street Party” at the Libby Wesley Park on Wednesday, April 27 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm to help small businesses get on the map, while providing an opportunity to showcase products and services and of course, network.  Small business owners will be featured… from fashion shows to musical entertainment and food.

Libby Wesley Park is located at SW 5th Avenue and Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Delray Beach.

Who should attend, small business owners, entrepreneurs, anyone thinking about starting a business or expanding a business, men, and women.

There is no charge to attend this event, registration is required at www.flwbc.org.

To further help businesses, this program also provides a free website and a free custom domain for a year. This can save businesses hundreds of dollars as they set up their website and get started online.

The program also offers helpful online marketing tools, such as a step-by-step guide to using Google My Business to optimize Web presence and a diagnostics tool so business owners can see exactly how customers see them on Google Search and Google Maps. It also ensures that local businesses appear on top of search results (based on location) and that their listings are complete with the latest, most accurate business information, such as the right phone number, hours of operation and business description.

The Florida Women's Business Center (FLWBC), is an entrepreneur resource center serving South Florida.  The FLWBC is one of only five centers in Florida which is partially funded by the Small Business Administration (SBA) to assist women in starting, expanding and operating successful businesses.  The TED Center is the 501(c3) non-profit host of the FLWBC and has successfully supported economic and community development for more than 20 years.
